France
đ World Cup Story
France have won the World Cup twice â 1998 on home soil with Zinedine Zidane heading in two goals in the final against Brazil, and 2018 in Russia with a young MbappĂ© announcing himself to the world at just 19 (the first teenager to score in a World Cup final since PelĂ© in 1958). In between, they finished fourth in 2014 and were runners-up in 2022, losing a breathtaking final to Argentina 3-3 after extra time, then on penalties â MbappĂ© scored a hat-trick including two goals in the last ten minutes of normal time, one of the greatest individual final performances ever. France have never failed to reach at least the quarterfinals when they've qualified since 1998. They arrive in 2026 as the most feared team on the planet.
đ 2026 Context
2018 world champions, 2022 runners-up â the deepest talent pool in world football, led by the unstoppable Kylian MbappĂ©.
